Kurtuvenai, Lithuania 20th September FEI event

Team SunRacing was at Kurtuvenai 20th September participating in FEI international 80km event.

We started traveling early morning day before the event and without any major problems (small technical problem with the car which however we was able to fix quickly without third party help) we was at racing area some time after noon. Thus we had lot of time to get ready for the event next day. This was nice change as we have usually arrived later and then many things has had to be done in somewhat hurry. Now we were able to drive through all the grooming points at the track and do relaxing ride with the horse.

Race day started well and we had good feeling. During the first and second leg we had problems getting the horse to drink which meant somewhat bad veterinary results from the second leg inspection. At that point we were little bit worried but soon after that our horse started drinking and from that we knew that she will be drinking well hereafter. Last leg went well and veterinary results after the finish inspection was much better than at the second inspection! That gave us new personal best in overall speed this season and 4th place in the competition! In top of that the horse's recovery times was really good overall which gives really positive feeling for the future. Well done!

Overall the event was really well organized and we were really happy that we were able to participate and we surely will be at Kurtuvenai in the future!

Aravete 13.9 and Dobele 14.9

Team SunRacing was at Aravete Estonia 13.9 racing with solo and sidecar class. It was the last race in Top200 cup for solo and extra race for sidecar class.

In solo class 9th place was the day result so everything went quite well even the track was somewhat hard for solo bikes and required lot of experience for good result. Seasons Top200 cup total placement was 130th from 283 competitors so pretty good for for this first season in solo class.

In sidecar class 1st place! In the first corner of the first heat passenger was hit by big rock to the thumb and the thumb was fractured. However passenger was able to continue the race with normal speed so we were in the lead after the first heat. The second heat did go with slower speed but still finishing with good position ensured win for the day!

Next day 14.9 Team SunRacing travelled to Dobele Latvia for last sidecar race of the year even the passenger had fractured thumb.  It was the last race in Latvian championships.

We had to slow our speed somewhat but with other teams' having bad luck we were able to finish 3rd in overall results. In the season we were able to participate only in few Latvian championship races but still in the seasons overall result we were at the 5th place total! Not so bad after all!
